This agreement applies as between you, the User of this Website and The Care Institute, the owner of this Website. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you should stop using the Website immediately.
These Terms and Conditions represent the whole agreement and understanding between the The Care Institute and the individual or entity who purchases our Service(s) (hereinafter referred to as the “User”).
1. General Information
The Care Institute is co-owned by Better Shepherds, LLC, and Line & Circle Media, LLC, and has been created in partnership with The Cornerstone Foundation, a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit. Its headquarters are located at 3916 Milgen Road, Columbus, GA 31908.
In this Agreement the following terms shall have the following meanings:
- "Account": means collectively the personal information, Payment Information and credentials used by Users to access Services and / or any communications System on the Website;

"Content": means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations and any other form of information capable of being stored in a computer that appears on or forms part of this Website;

"Facilities": means collectively any online facilities, tools, services or information that The Care Institute makes available through the Website either now or in the future;

"Services": means the services available to you through this Website, specifically use of The Care Institute proprietary e-learning platform;

"Payment Information": means any details required for the purchase of Services from this Website. This includes, but is not limited to, credit / debit card numbers, bank account numbers and sort codes;

"System": means any online communications infrastructure that makes available through the Website either now or in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, web-based email, message boards, live chat facilities and email links;

"User" / "Users": means any third party that accesses the Website and is not employed by The Care Institute and acting in the course of their employment;

Access Rights: Subject to these Terms of Service, Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to access the portion of the website applicable to their registration. We reserve the right to upgrade, modify, or enhance the Services and convert a User to a new version at any time of our sole discretion, granted that reasonable prior notice is given and that this is not detrimental to a User’s use of the Services.
User Conduct: Users agree to abide by all rules and regulations published by The Care Institute regarding conduct. We reserve the right to deny access to any User who fails to abide by these standards.
User Responsibilities: By accessing our services, the User agrees to the following:
- Access privileges are for the individual User only and may not be transferred to third parties.

The User is responsible for maintaining the necessary hardware and internet connection to access our services.
The User acknowledges that internet traffic or necessary maintenance may cause temporary delays or interruptions. Accordingly, the User shall not hold the Company liable for delays that are ordinary in the course of Internet use.
We accept no liability for any disruption or non-availability of the Website resulting from external causes including, but not limited to, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events, acts of war or legal restrictions and censorship.
All content, materials, and services provided by The Care Institute are the property of the organization, its owners, its licensors, or other providers of such material, and are protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not use our logos, trademarks, or proprietary materials without prior written permission. No right, title, or ownership of or to the Services or any portion therein is transferred to any User.
Unless otherwise expressly indicated, all Intellectual Property rights including, but not limited to, Copyright and Trademarks, in product images and descriptions belong to the manufacturers or distributors of such products as may be applicable.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, store or in any other fashion re-use such material unless otherwise indicated on the Website or unless given express written permission to do so by the relevant manufacturer or supplier.
Data Protection: All User information, including personal and professional details collected during registration or participation, will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
Usage: Information is used solely for the purposes of program delivery, administrative processing, and internal improvement.
Third-Party Disclosure: The Care Institute will not share, sell, or disclose User information to third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law.
- Submission: Users may submit complaints regarding program content, delivery, or other concerns via our designated support email at registrar@careinstitute.org or through our online contact form.
- Review Process: All complaints will be reviewed by our administration team within 10 business days.
- Resolution: Users will receive a formal response outlining the findings and any proposed resolution or next steps.
- Incorporation of Feedback: Where feasible and aligned with our mission, constructive feedback will be incorporated into future program improvements. Your insights help us refine our ability to serve caregivers effectively.
All pricing information on the Website is correct at the time of going online. We reserve the right to change prices and alter or remove any special offers from time to time and as necessary.
- Payment Terms: Users agree to pay the appropriate fee corresponding to the specific training or course selected. All fees are clearly outlined on the registration page.
- Taxes: Users are responsible for any applicable sales, use, or transfer taxes associated with their purchase.
- Guarantee: The Care Institute offers a money-back guarantee within 30 days from the date of purchase.
- Terms: Refunds will be issued for 100% of the purchase price, minus a 10% administrative service fee for purchases exceeding $75.
- Procedure: To request a refund, Users must submit a written request to registrar@careinstitute.org within the 30-day window.
- User Cancellation: Users may cancel their enrollment in a scheduled live program up to 7 days before the start date for a full refund, minus the standard administrative fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date may not be eligible for a refund but may be credited toward future training at our discretion.

Institute Cancellation: In the event that The Care Institute must cancel or reschedule a program due to unforeseen circumstances, Users will be notified promptly. In such cases, Users will be offered the choice of a full refund or enrollment in a rescheduled session.
The User must be at least 18 years of age in order to use the Services. By using this Website, the User represents and warrants that the User is at least 18 years of age and may legally agree to these Terms.
The Care Institute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use our services.
The Care Institute reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services, market conditions, or regulatory requirements. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
In order to procure Services on this Website and to use certain other parts of the System, you are required to create an Account which will contain certain personal details and Payment Information which may vary based upon your use of the Website as We may not require payment information until you wish to make a purchase. By continuing to use this Website, you represent and warrant that:
- All information you submit is accurate and truthful;
- You have permission to submit Payment Information where permission may be required; and
- You will keep this information accurate and up-to-date. Your creation of an Account is further affirmation of your representation and warranty.
Either The Care Institute or you may terminate your Account. If We terminate your Account, you will be notified by email and an explanation for the termination will be provided. Notwithstanding the foregoing, We reserve the right to terminate without giving reasons.
If We terminate your Account, any current or pending orders or payments on your Account will be cancelled and provision of Services will not commence.
It is recommended that you do not share your Account details, particularly your username and password. We accept no liability for any losses or damages incurred as a result of your Account details being shared by you. If you use a shared computer, it is recommended that you do not save your Account details in your internet browser.
If you have reason to believe that your Account details have been obtained by another person without consent, you should contact Us immediately to suspend your Account and cancel any unauthorized orders or payments that may be pending. Please be aware that orders or payments can only be cancelled up until provision of Services has commenced. In the event that an unauthorized provision commences prior to your notifying Us of the unauthorized nature of the order or payment then you shall be charged for the period from the commencement of the provision of services until the date you notified us.
When choosing your username you are required to adhere to the terms set out in Clause 18. Any failure to do so could result in the suspension and/or deletion of your Account.
When using any System on the Website you should do so in accordance with the following rules. Failure to comply with these rules may result in your Account being suspended or closed:
- You must not use obscene or vulgar language;
- You must not submit Content that is unlawful or otherwise objectionable. This includes, but is not limited to, Content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, ageist, sexist, or racist;
- You must not submit Content that is intended to promote or incite violence;
- It is advised that submissions are made using the English language, as We may be unable to respond to enquiries submitted in any other languages;
